Since 2015, Consensus has been more than an event, it’s the annual gathering of the tribe. It’s where the most influential companies in blockchain, digital assets, and Web3 come together to advance the industry.
In 2025, Consensus will expand to Hong Kong, connecting East and West for the critical conversations and deals that will shape the future. Hosted by media platform CoinDesk, Consensus is built on independent, unbiased journalism to drive transformative ideas and heartfelt conversations. Don’t miss this moment—join us in Hong Kong to witness the future.
Consensus Hong Kong will be the first major Web3 and digital asset event to take place after the inauguration of US President Donald Trump. Notable speakers include CEOs, regulators, Web3 players, financial institutions, and high-profile brand executives from over 100 countries, making Consensus a major event for Hong Kong brands.
Consensus Hong Kong marks the first time in six years that CoinDesk has taken its successful event franchise outside of the United States, and the timing is perfect. As the world’s largest and longest-running event series for key conversations about Web3, digital assets and blockchain, it is the first major event to take place under the inauguration of a new U.S. administration that promises to redefine the space. Coming to Asia, the event also coincides with several important regional milestones, most notably the region’s digital asset adoption rate reaching 22% by 2024 — nearly three times the global average.
Consensus Hong Kong’s program will feature over 200 high-profile speakers, including:
· Paul Chan, Financial Secretary of Hong Kong
· Richard Teng, CEO of Binance
· Gautam Sharma, CEO and CIO of Brevan Howard Digital
· Adrian Cheng, Chairman of Hong Kong Wealth Heritage Academy
· Fung Yee Leung, Chief Executive Officer of the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission
· Matthew White, CEO of Dubai Virtual Asset Authority
· Tom Farley, CEO of Bullish
· Lily Liu, Chairman of Solana Foundation
· Shayne Coplan, Founder and CEO of Polymarket
Consensus Hong Kong will also debut a signature experience in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. In addition to its annual Hackathon and PitchFest, Consensus will host the following events for badge holders:
· Kick off the event with a sky-high party at Cloud 39, with skyline views atop The Henderson, designed by world-renowned architect Zaha Hadid and set to open in mid-2024.
· Special passes to the iconic Wednesday races at Happy Valley Racecourse.
· The grand finale, Crypto Fight Night, at the Grand Hyatt.
“Consensus Hong Kong comes at a critical inflection point in the history of Web3 and digital assets. We have built our agenda around the key pillars of quality and leadership to create a forum where players, decision-makers, and deal-makers can convene, connect, and collectively move the industry forward,” said Michael Lau, Chairman of Consensus Hong Kong.
“As someone who calls Hong Kong home, it is my personal mission to showcase how the city blends productivity with culture and cements its position as Asia’s gateway,” he continued. In recent years, Hong Kong has strategically positioned itself as a forward-thinking digital asset hub for this vibrant region, and it was great to see some of our guest speakers – such as Hong Kong Financial Secretary Paul Chan and SFC Chief Executive Officer Jennifer Leung – conveying this message on the global stage.”
