Former Chairman of China Film Group, Yang Buting, attended the Muverse Beijing event, discussing the opportunities and challenges that the film industry faces with technologies such as AI and Web3.

According to official sources, Muverse Asia Tour-Beijing Station was successfully held on May 31st, as reported by BlockBeats. Yang Buting, former chairman of China Film Group and current chairman of China Film Overseas Promotion Co., Ltd., and Zhao Xicheng, secretary general of the Capital Film and Finance Association, participated in the event and shared their insights. Muverse Co-CEO Mark Rau also answered questions from students at the Berkeley School of Music and the University of Edinburgh on how Muverse can help music producers develop in web3. Mr. Yang Buting has been engaged in the film industry for over 50 years and has witnessed the development of the Chinese film industry through various stages. He has served as the director of the China Film Research Institute, the president of the China Film Distribution and Exhibition Association, the deputy director of the Film Management Bureau of the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television, and the chairman of China Film Group Corporation. He is also a producer of well-known films such as "Fearless", "The Myth", "Kung Fu Hustle" and "Crazy Stone". Mr. Yang expressed his concern about the impact of new technologies on the film industry and emphasized the need for the industry to embrace high technology, large screens, and panoramic depth in order to find a unique position in the face of the challenges and opportunities presented by AI and web3. Zhao Xicheng graduated from Tsinghua University and previously worked for China Film Group. Muverse Asia Tour is a series of offline events hosted by the Web3 entertainment platform Muverse, co-organized by Zonff Partners, AvatarDAO, Foresight News, and 1783DAO. The tour started in Seoul, South Korea and will cover six cities including Tokyo (5/27), Beijing (5/31), Shanghai (hosted by Conflux, 6/1), Hangzhou (6/3), and Dubai (6/6).
