Storj acquires cunoFS creator PetaGene to enhance capabilities for AI and data-intensive industries

Storj now provides distributed cloud object storage, distributed on-demand GPU computing, and distributed file storage installation. Together, these features provide seamless access to distributed clouds for video and AI workloads, thereby improving performance, security, cost, and carbon savings for more edge and global customers.

Developed by PetaGene, cunoFS is a high-performance installation client that is currently expected to revolutionize cloud workflows for users of data-intensive media and entertainment industries and all cloud platforms and object storage vendors. In addition to the Linux client, cunoFS launched a Windows native client at IBC 2024, and its macOS native client will be launched later this year.
