BlockBeats reported that on October 17, the decentralized prediction platform Polymarket saw bets on the 2024 U.S. presidential election exceed $2 billion.
Previously, the prediction market on who would win, Vice President Harris or former President Trump, accumulated $1 billion in bets in just 23 days, a rapid progression since breaking through the first $1 billion on September 24.
As of October 17, Republican candidate Trump had bets on Polymarket of nearly $608 million, with a 62.3% chance of winning. Democratic candidate Harris had bets of $405 million, with a 37.5% chance of winning.
