Sky Alliance proposes to rename the brand to Maker

BlockBeats news, on October 22, Sky co-founder Rune Christensen released a community proposal saying that there is still some confusion in the community about the role of Sky tokens and the Maker brand, and feedback shows that the Maker brand has a stronger affinity than Sky.

Rune said, "It is now clearer than ever that the DeFi community loves and trusts the Maker brand. People are very interested in the brand and the stability, security and DeFi scale it represents. People are more willing to hold MKR tokens than to upgrade to SKY."

To address these issues, he proposed three possible directions: continue to use Sky as the core brand and take advantage of its recent development momentum; reposition the original identity of the Maker brand while restoring MKR as the only governance token; finally, reposition the Maker brand, give it a new look, and align it with USDS.
