Detained Binance executive released, now out of Nigeria

BlockBeats reported that on October 24, Binance’s detained executive Tigran Gambaryan had left Nigeria, and his family confirmed the news.

After being detained in Nigeria for 8 months, he was allowed to leave Kuje Prison last night, a day after local prosecutors announced that they would drop the charges against him.

In February of this year, he was detained by the country’s regulators and subsequently imprisoned in Kuje Prison, which holds violent criminals such as members of the terrorist organization Boko Haram. His application for bail was rejected, but he was allowed to go abroad for treatment on Wednesday.
