BlockBeats reported that on October 25, Arkham monitored that a wallet controlled by the US government was hacked. The wallet contained funds seized from the Bitfinex hack in 2016, which has caused the address to lose $20 million.

The attacker sent the funds to a wallet starting with "0x348", which included USDC, USDT, aUSDC and ETH. Hackers have begun converting stablecoins to ETH and laundering money through addresses that may be associated with money laundering services.

BlockBeats previously reported that the US government address (Bitfinex hacker seized funds) withdrew $6.57 million worth of stablecoins from Aave early this morning. The funds were transferred to the address starting with "0x348", which then exchanged approximately 5.45 million USDC for 2,135.27 ETH.
