BlockBeats News, November 15: U.S. President-elect Trump said on Thursday that a government efficiency task force led by Musk will release a report on streamlining the U.S. government. Trump said in a speech at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida, "They will put out a separate report, and in the end, there will be a big report."
This is the first time Trump has provided new details about the task force report since announcing the group earlier this week. Trump said on Tuesday that the group would "provide advice and guidance from outside the government" to streamline the government, reduce regulations, cut spending, and restructure federal agencies. Both Trump and Musk have stated that the group will significantly reduce the budget. However, the U.S. Constitution gives Congress the power over the federal budget. Congress can accept or ignore the recommendations of external groups, such as the proposed efficiency task force. (Golden Finance)
