BlockBeats News, November 23rd, Democratic SEC Commissioner Jaime Lizárraga informed Bloomberg Law today that he plans to resign on January 17th, leaving only one Democrat, Caroline Crenshaw, on the commission after Trump's appointment.

This means there will now be three vacant seats available for Trump to fill before January 20th. This also means that until these nominees are confirmed, the current SEC commission will be majority Republican at 2-1 (Republicans Uyeda and Peirce along with Democrat Crenshaw).
