Singapore's OCBC Bank to clear out overseas users

BlockBeats reported that on December 11, according to official news, Singapore's OCBC Bank will clear out overseas users. OCBC Global Personal Banking Services sent an email notification to the bank's customers stating that in order to keep their accounts, please confirm with OCBC that the customer still resides in Singapore before December 15, 2024.

If OCBC has not received a response from the customer by December 15, 2024, it will have to impose certain restrictions on the account (such as only withdrawals but not deposits) and then close the account. Once the account is closed, any financial arrangements associated with the account will also be cancelled.

If the customer has confirmed with OCBC that he or she resides in Singapore, ignore this email.
