《The Washington Post》: After Trump's Inauguration, the US Department of Efficiency Will Be Sued

2025-01-20 20:07

BlockBeats News, January 20th, according to The Washington Post, it is expected that a few minutes after the inauguration of U.S. President-elect Donald Trump, a lawsuit alleging a violation of federal transparency rules by the "Government Efficiency Department" led by billionaire Elon Musk will be filed, kicking off a legal battle over a key aspect of the incoming U.S. government agenda.

In a 30-page complaint obtained prior to filing, a national security advisor from a public interest law firm claimed that the non-governmental DOGE group violated a 1972 law that requires an advisory committee providing recommendations to the executive branch to follow certain provisions regarding disclosure, hiring, and other practices.
