SEC Chair Gary Gensler has officially resigned, with Mark Uyeda serving as Acting Chair.

According to the newly released appointment document from the U.S. White House, Mark Uyeda has been appointed as Acting Chairman of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

It is reported that Uyeda is a Republican and has been an SEC commissioner since June 30, 2022. Prior to becoming an SEC commissioner, Uyeda served at the SEC for over 15 years.
