Chainalysis: Ransomware Payments Fall by 35% YoY in 2024

The report indicated that ransom amounts in the first half of the year once exceeded the same period in 2023, with the Dark Angels group demanding up to $75 million in a single ransom. However, a significant decline in ransomware payments in the second half of the year led to a full-year decrease in the total amount.
