2025-02-28 08:07

BlockBeats News, February 28th, according to Arkham data, as of now, wallets identified as belonging to the Lazarus Group have transferred over 240 million USD worth of ETH through THORChain. These funds have been primarily exchanged for native BTC.

Additionally, THORChain's Lead Developer @Pluto9r has announced his resignation (after 4 years in the role). THORChain network's core validator TCB (@1984_is_today) disclosed that most of THORChain's activity stems from the largest financial theft in human history, originating from North Korean hackers' money laundering activities, posing a national security issue.

BlockBeats previously reported that THORChain is currently facing insolvency issues, with its savings and loan features suspended, and plans to address a 200 million USD debt crisis through the issuance of equity tokens.
