The U.S. House of Representatives Passes Appropriations Bill to Avoid Government "Shutdown"

BlockBeats News, March 12: On March 11 local time, the U.S. House of Representatives passed an appropriations bill with 217 votes in favor and 213 against to avoid a government "shutdown" this weekend. The bill will essentially extend government funding at current levels until September 30.


The bill has been submitted for Senate consideration. The current federal funding is set to expire at 11:59 p.m. on March 14. (Golden Ten)
