Luxury Goods Giant LVMH Sued Over Watch NFT Patent

BlockBeats News, March 12th, according to Cointelegraph, a company that sells NFTs through smartwatch face designs has sued LVMH, accusing the luxury fashion giant of patent infringement.


According to a complaint filed on March 10th in a Texas federal court in the United States, Watch Skins company accuses LVMH of misappropriating its "groundbreaking NFT display technology."


Watch Skins claims to have developed a unique system that allows users to display verified NFT art on smartwatches and holds multiple related patents.


The company stated that a smartwatch from LVMH's TAG Heuer brand and products from other brands of the group have unlawfully used NFT display technology based on three patents held by Watch Skins.
