BlockBeats News, March 13th, Binance founder CZ responded to a WSJ article on social media, saying, "Sorry to disappoint you. The Wall Street Journal's report is factually incorrect."
More than 20 people have told me that they were asked by The Wall Street Journal (and another media outlet), "Can you confirm whether CZ has made some kind of deal to obtain a pardon?"
They may have asked hundreds of people before getting 20 to contact me. In plain language, they are eager to fabricate a story they can report on.
The fact is: I have never discussed any transactions related to Binance US with anyone.
Of course, no criminal would mind receiving a pardon, especially me—the only person in American history to be sentenced on a single charge of the Bank Secrecy Act.
This article appears to be an attack on the President and cryptocurrency, with the remnants of the previous government's "war on cryptocurrency" still at play.
I am always willing to see cryptocurrency thrive globally, including in the United States and elsewhere in the world.
It's great to see that even The Wall Street Journal believes I should be pardoned."
