A man in Hong Kong was robbed of over 300,000 in cash after trading cryptocurrency, with the suspect currently at large.

According to Ming Pao, Hong Kong, on the 13th around 11 o'clock, the Hong Kong police received a report from a 41-year-old man surnamed Wang, stating that he was attacked by a man with a wooden stick near the Lai Chi Kok Park Sports Centre on Lai Wan Road, Lai Chi Kok. The attacker stole a bag containing HKD 318,000 in cash from his hand and fled towards Ying Fai Terrace. Police officers arrived to investigate upon receiving the report and took their colleagues to search for the thief in the area by police car, but no discovery was made. The man's left hand was hit by the stick, and after receiving first aid in the ambulance, he refused to go to the hospital.


It is reported that the man had engaged in cryptocurrency trading at Sung Wong Toi earlier, received over 300,000 in cash, carried the large sum of money in a bag, and was robbed on his way back to the Wah Lok Village residence. The police have classified the case as a robbery and are pursuing a man about 1.75 meters tall, wearing a black long-sleeved shirt at the time of the incident.
