BlockBeats News, April 3rd, CZ shared investment insights on the Reachme platform:
「I stay away from fancy models. I never buy into creativity. Creativity is worthless. Execution is key. This is something I wrote before: My investment philosophy includes three key principles:
1. Focus on fundamentals: Forget about those fancy business models. Instead, focus on the fundamentals: product, user growth, revenue/profit, and team strength.
2. Long-term bet, buy early and hold: Early adopters often receive disproportionate returns. There will be many failures along the way, but a few successes are enough to make up for those failures. The best approach is to hold investments long term, as major successes like Amazon or Google develop over time. Setbacks and momentary failures, such as Terra, are all part of the journey.
3. Invest in mission-driven founders: Invest in founders and teams with a vision beyond profit. Great companies stem from a mission-driven mindset, as founders focused on money tend to waver after achieving moderate success. Those dedicated to a greater cause will create more sustainable, impactful businesses.」
