Citigroup Downgrades U.S. Stock Market to Neutral

2025-04-14 13:27

BlockBeats News, April 14th, a Citigroup stock strategist downgraded the US stock market rating, stating that recent events such as DeepSeek, the European fiscal stance, and trade tensions have strengthened their view on diversifying investments outside the US market.

“From a GDP and EPS perspective, the driving factors of the ‘exception theory’ are fading,” Beata Manthey and other strategists at the bank downgraded their rating on the US stock market from overweight to neutral. Citigroup stated that the US market remains relatively expensive, while the trend of EPS downgrades is intensifying. (FX678)
