2025-04-19 22:43

BlockBeats News, April 19th, according to Reuters, Powell once stated that U.S. law does not allow the President to dismiss him, and even if Trump made such a request, he would not resign voluntarily. Powell plans to serve his full term and continue as Fed Chair until May 2026.

In addition, Powell's term as a member of the Federal Reserve Board will continue until January 2028. He also stated this week that he believes the current case being heard by the U.S. Supreme Court is unlikely to apply to the Fed.
