I've been researching hundreds of Starknet projects over the past few days. Below, I'll share my findings with you. Here are 10 of the more interesting projects I've found in the Starknet ecosystem.
Astraly is the Launchpad for the Starknet ecosystem, designed to help launch new projects that have been carefully vetted by teams. They provide an innovative lottery system for the launch of new projects, and support the launch of projects throughout the pre-sale, sale and after-sales stages.
Astraly is also building an on-chain reputation system where people can boost their raffle chances with badges earned by participating in tasks like Testnet. Astraly is currently in beta and plans to launch on the Starknet main network in the first quarter of 2023.
Starknet ID is an ENS like domain name service where you can cast your on-chain identity and set one up. Stark domain name address. You can use your Starknet ID in any agreement they cooperate with and get rewards for on-chain and off-chain contributions.
They are also implementing a cross-chain bridge solution where any domain holder with ENS or Starknet ID can get a free domain name on another platform. Starknet ID is currently in beta and their main network appears to be coming soon.
Magnetyfi is an asset management protocol that allows anyone to create pools and set policies. Other people can pool their money into this pool.
Once the strategy has been properly backtested and calculated, asset managers can leverage their strategy to provide opportunities for others to earn fees in the pool. These strategies include investment activities such as trading and pledging. If this vision is realized, anyone with a solid strategy can become an asset manager at Magnetyfi.
The potential problem with Magnetyfi is security and trust. Magnety claims that it has insurance and security measures so that the funds are not misused for other purposes. Magnetyfi is currently in Alpha testing and they are hard at work on a roadmap, white paper and website. At the moment, the project is still in development and I'm very interested to see how it evolves into its final form.
Starkswap is a serious competitor to the main AMM on Starknet. The team launched testNet in March and announced the rebuilding of V1 from scratch with support for custom curves.
They also recently launched Iron Fleet, with Yearn, a new protocol on Starknet that enables users to pool their assets when interacting with the Tier 1 DeFi protocol. This allows Gas to be spread among users, reducing the cost of operation for everyone.
Nostra is a set of projects being built on Starknet. It includes:
1. UNO: an overpledged Stablecoin backed by ETH;
2. Lending and borrowing: including mechanisms to isolate risk;
3. Swap: AMM where users can provide liquidity for higher returns.
Nostra is backed by high-profile investors such as Jump and Wintermute. Investors want projects to roll out their private testing as soon as possible, so I'm interested to see how the project goes.
Aspect is Starknet's first NFT market. Their ease of use convinced me that they could be the Opensea for Starknet. Aspect is also building a feature that can cast NFTS directly from their website.
Their main network is up and running. You can find the Starknet collection on their website, but be careful as they do not guarantee NFT migration via Starknet Regenesis.
Zkx is a derivatives agreement that provides a perpetual swap similar to programs such as GMX. What is interesting about ZKX is that they are trying to create a decentralized order thin model for their protocol through their own network of custom nodes. The project has not yet started public testing.
Briq is an NFT-making platform where you can build NFTs using cubes called "Briqs". By using their builder (which reminds me of Minecraft), you can create structures with these Briqs that can be combined, which is NFTS.
If you give the NFTS to someone, they can turn the NFTS back into Briqs and create something new. Two NFTS can be combined to create more complex NFTS. The main part that interests me about Briqs is its NFT combination capability.
People are already using Briqs to make PFPS, portraits, and more. If you want, you can even build NFTS in a full game with Briqs. If more users start using Briqs and create more and more complex NFTS, Briqs could become a fascinating ecosystem. The project is currently in Alpha.
Fibrous Finance is a DeFi aggregator built on Starknet that navigates any transaction through the most efficient means possible. The cool thing about Fibrous goods is that they divide up your capital and exchange it simultaneously through multiple AMMs so that you get the maximum value of the swap.
Fibrous is still in the testing phase. Their roadmap includes adding order book-based transactions in the future, as well as multi-token transactions.
Starksheet is a multi-purpose Web3 application. It looks like a spreadsheet, where each cell can be used as a dynamic NFT, and any data you enter into that cell is strictly yours. Any user can enter another number or refer to a formula for another cell.
Their goal is to create a decentralized environment that encourages people to build together, creating a "decentralized smart protocol." Version V1 is out and they are constantly updating the project based on feedback.
