How to participate in Lava's "Magma" reward program before the mainnet goes live?

Lava is a modular data network designed to provide scalable access to any blockchain through any API. While Celestia and Dymension focus on data availability, settlement, and consensus, Rollups also require an access layer. This is precisely the goal of Lava: to allow developers and users to send and retrieve data from any blockchain.

On February 15th, Lava Network completed a $15 million seed round of financing, led by Jump Capital, Hashkey Capital, and Tribe Capital, with participation from North Island Ventures, Dispersion Capital, Alliance DAO, and Finality Capital Partners. Executives from blockchain projects such as Celestia, Cosmos, StarkWare, and Filecoin also participated in this round of financing.

Lava Network is currently in its testnet phase and plans to launch its mainnet in the first half of this year. Prior to the mainnet launch, Lava has introduced the "Magma" rewards program. Users can earn Magma points by switching their RPC connection to Lava.

How to obtain points?

Just change your wallet connection.

Initially, only wallet users who use Lava to extend their infrastructure on Ethereum, NEAR, Evmos, Starknet, and Axelar were offered points. Lava prioritizes blockchains and rollups that use incentivized public RPC to extend their infrastructure.

Follow the steps below to log in to the dashboard and earn points:

1. Connect your wallet to Lava's points dashboard: points.lavanet.xyz - Code: Magma

2. Replace the RPC URL in your wallet with the URLs powered by Lava on NEAR, Starknet, Evmos, Axelar, and Ethereum

Every time you open or use your wallet (such as checking balance, making transactions, interacting with dapps), your wallet will make RPC calls.

All you need to do is replace the RPC URL in your wallet with the RPC provided in your Lava Points account.

Here are examples of Metamask and Evmos:

1) Open your wallet and go to Settings -> Network.

2) As an example, let's take Evmos as an example. Choose Evmos.

3) Replace "New RPC URL" with the relevant RPC link provided in our dashboard: https://evmos.lava.build, and click save.

3. Like usual, using your wallet and dapps will earn you points, including any actions from simple balance checks (which require your wallet to make RPC calls behind the scenes) to making transactions.

4. View the leaderboard and check your ranking

5. Share your referral code on social media to earn points.

Recommendations, Bonuses, and Retrospective Points

Recommendation:

Users can earn points through referrals. You will receive 10% of the points earned by the users you refer. This will not be deducted from their points.

For example:

You recommended user A. User A earns 1000 points per week. You will earn an additional 100 points per week, and user A's total points will not be affected.

Wallet partners:

Anyone who uses Lava together with one of Lava's wallet partners will earn reward points. We will initially be partnering with Sender Wallet on NEAR, with more partners joining in the future.

Traceability Points:

Lava thanks everyone who has contributed to our test network before today. Your on-chain usage of Lava will be retrospectively measured.
