EigenLayer announces upcoming launch of AVS rewards and EIGEN programmatic incentives

BlockBeats news, on July 27, Ethereum re-staking protocol EigenLayer officially stated that AVS (Active Verification Service) rewards and EIGEN programmatic incentives will be launched soon.

• Active Verification Service (AVS) will gain the ability to reward stakers and operators.

• At least 4% of the total supply of EIGEN will be allocated to stakers and operators through the upcoming programmatic incentives.

• These incentives will be distributed through "rewards enhancement", in which stakers and operators will receive EIGEN in proportion to the number of rewards allocated to them by AVS.

• Stakers and operators who support more AVS will tend to receive more EIGEN programmatic issuance.

• The reward enhancement program is designed to start the reward flywheel and achieve price discovery, even if the initial AVS rewards are low.

• In addition to the programmatic incentives program, Season 2 staking rewards will reward current stakers and operators.
