BlockBeats News, November 19, Forta, a web3 security company supported by a16z crypto, Coinbase Ventures, and other investors, has now launched a new product, a Firewall, to help detect and prevent smart contract vulnerabilities.

Forta raised $23 million in 2021 and received support from companies such as a16z, Coinbase Ventures, among others.

The Firewall is not Forta's first product. Forta Foundation's Andy Beal told The Block that in 2022, the company introduced the Forta Network, allowing decentralized finance (DeFi) platforms to monitor and detect threats in real-time. Beal stated that the network is already being used by over 40 DeFi projects, including Compound, Lido, and MakerDAO, and it is still operational.
